Tallinn bicycle week was finished off by (Geriljakino) Guerilla Cinema - free of charge for anyone with a bicycle.
Geriljakino (Guerilla Cinema) fights against tastelessness, indifference, delusion of grandeur, boredom and ignorance and does it by conquering cityscape and cinema art, mile by mile. The world is unaware of any guerilla movement, that has announced time and place before its coming. Geriljakino is not an exception. You´ll know about it, when it´s time.
The viewings of Guerilla Cinema take place in secret venues, unusual places. To get to the cinema the cyclists had to meet in a certain location where they were told the place of that evening's film showing. We had 1,5 hours to try and find our way to the venue. For those who were interested, there was a possibility to take an extra route to find a map to take you to the cinema. This evening's venue was in Meeruse port, what is normally closed for public, and which is located in a district of Tallinn that has not enjoyed the best reputation. However, it is still an area where there is lots to see and it's not a bad place to live at all. We know, because our headquarters is located in the same district and the Guerilla Cinema's venue was actually not far from it at all! We didn't mind because after the viewing, our way home was probably the shortest! :)
Aaaa, the movie was Bejing Bicycle.
First, here is video documentary about the event.
